At 16:30 on Saturday, September 27, 2008 mission commander Zhai Zhigang, a Chinese astronaut, waves the Chinese flag after emerging from the Shenzhou 7 spaceship to perform his nation’s first ever spacewalk.
Wang Zhaoyao said in a meeting with reporters, the spaceship is scheduled to return to Earth around 5 p.m. Beijing time on Sunday. He added that as China’s aerospace program matures, there will likely be female astronauts in the future.
